The mother dog poured her heart into caring for her pup, even in the face of hardship. When I arrived at the scene, I saw the pup struggling, crawling weakly towards her. His small body shook, and his eyes were filled with a silent plea for help. The mother’s gaze met mine, her eyes full of love and desperation, as though begging for the help that they both so desperately needed. I couldn’t ignore her plea. I stayed with them, offering comfort as the night began to fall and the cold settled in.

As the hours passed, it became clear that the pup was in distress. His small body contorted in pain, and I knew an urgent trip to the vet was necessary. We rushed to the clinic, holding on to the slim hope that he could be saved. The diagnosis was grim. The pup had two spinal fractures, and the prognosis suggested a future filled with uncertainty. The thought of such a young, helpless creature facing so much pain was heartbreaking.

While the mother dog was released after her vaccinations and deworming, the pup faced a much tougher road ahead. Surgery was an option, but due to his young age and fragile state, it was risky. Despite numerous setbacks in his recovery, Thor’s spirit never wavered. Though walking was impossible for him, he adapted to his new life with the help of a specially made wheelchair. His new family, kind and loving, embraced him wholeheartedly, providing him with a bright future filled with love and the ability to explore the world around him.
