The internet can be full of cynics, especially when it comes to love and relationships. But this one couple has a weird way of proving that real love does exist, and it looks adorable. In all honesty, the best part of social media is the plethora of “pet-fluencers” that are out there. Each different pet-flencer has a different style. There are those fashion-forward pets who are clad in the latest fashions as they take the world by sᴛᴏʀᴍ. There are the ᴀᴅᴠᴇɴᴛᴜʀᴇʀs who are never seen anywhere else but a spectacular natural view as their backdrop. And then there are the ǫᴜɪʀᴋʏ pet-fluencers who just like to have fun.
Meet Madeline, 10, and Barnabas, 7, an adorable pair of Neapolitan Mastiffs that live in Upstate Nᴇᴡ Yᴏʀᴋ with their owner Alayna. The cute couple has become Insta-famous after appearing in a series of cute and cheesy photos, posing patiently while displaying punny jokes that are perfect for any occasion. But how does Alayna manage to get Madeline and Barnabas to agree to stay so still in the photoshoots? She said: “Maddy and Barn are super food motivated. They will do anything for a ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛ! Plus by nature they are extremely chill, so that helps a lot.”
As a breed Mastiffs are pretty calm dogs, but Alayna says that Maddy and Barn are even more laid-back than usual. Still, Barnabas has his moments and Madeline is definitely the Pʀɪɴᴄᴇss of the pair. Alayna said: “Hands down Maddy is more behaved! Barn is good but he can be mischievous at times. Maddy is a perfect, sweet little lady. I mean really perfect!”
As for the funny puns, Alayna has come up with a few of them herself but admits that she has a handy list which she does her best to match up with props. But what was behind the idea in the first place? She said: “I just thought it would be something funny and unique and something I hadn’t seen anyone else do. Honestly I never thought everyone would love my adorable dogs and cheesy puns so much!”
The hilarious duo won over many fans thanks to their ǫᴜɪʀᴋʏ signage and cheesy pictures. It was just what we needed to see. Madeline and Barnabas were never pictured without the other, and they became quite popular. The subjects of their photos varied greatly. However, one of the reoccurring themes of their pictures was food. And as Alayna, their owner, pointed out, the foody Instagram pictures were ʜᴇᴀᴠɪʟʏ ɪɴꜰʟᴜᴇɴᴄᴇᴅ by the dogs’ great love of ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛs.
