A tiny puppy a.b.u.s.e.d and cast aside is safe in the arms of rescuers at Stray Rescue of St. Louis after they received a call from a Good Samaritan.
The concerned caller told them the dog was concerned resident hiding among a junk pile where a lot of neighbors dump their trash and unwanted belongings.
A wicked person thought thatโs where this puppy belonged.
Rescuers noticed โChowderโ had wounds on his face. โHeโs just a little puppy! His eyes are messed up and he has puncture wounds on his face. Despite what heโs been through, he is so happy,โ Stray Rescue wrote on Facebook. โHe is safe now.โ
When Donna approached Chowder he wagged his tail and let her pick him up. The Good Samaritan told them that there are people in the neighborhood involved โwith Pitbulls, meaning dog fighting. Poor Chowder was probably used as a bait dog and bitten by a big dog.
The moment they got Chowder in the car, he buried his head in one of their shoulders with relief.
Upon seeing the touching photograph, one of Stray Rescueโs supporters wrote, โItโs like he is passing his weight of pain on to the shoulders of someone that will heal him! Oh my heart!โ
Chowder is now on his way to a happy life. Once he has been โfixed upโ he will be looking for his forever home.
