Zuzu’s story is a clear example of how some animals form special bonds with their owners. The dog’s owner died in February 2014, but since then, Zuzu has been visiting the grave of his owner, who is likely his best friend.
Family members, who took care of Zozo after the owner’s death, say they found Zozo lying on his owner’s grave, trying to get as close as possible to his loyal friend. Zozo’s owner’s son said they had visited the grave together several times, but the dog now goes to a cemetery in Turkey every day, regardless of the weather.
Zuzu was devoted to his fellow man, Ismail Ozturk, a Turkish man who died several years ago. His death was unexpected, and the entire family is affected by his passing. The dog was the most affected, as he had been suffering from depression for the past few years after losing his best friend.
Since then, Zuzu and Zafer Ozturk, the son of the deceased, visit Ismail’s grave, which is located near the family home, every day. And every day, Zuzu lies on top of the grave, very sad and completely inconsolable. He seems desperate to stay close to his human, and Zafer’s heart breaks every time he sees Zuzu lying on the grave.
