An individual from the Navajo reservation had alerted Tsosie to Ace’s presence, detailing how the puppy had been abandoned and was now seeking shelter from the cold beside a parked car. Upon arriving at the scene, Tsosie found Ace cowering behind a car wheel, frightened but in need of help. Her gentle approach and soothing words gradually coaxed him out of hiding, and he began to trust her.

Concerned for Ace’s well-being, Tsosie immediately contacted Az Hidden Jem Rescue in Phoenix, Arizona. The rescue organization agreed to take Ace in after watching his rescue video, noting his resemblance to a lost little bear filled with bewilderment. At the veterinary clinic, Ace was diagnosed with mange and started on a treatment regimen. His new life took a positive turn when he was welcomed into a loving foster home provided by the Phoenix-based rescue. Here, Ace found solace and affection, bonding with his new foster family and playing joyfully with a litter of kittens.
