That’s what Salima Kadaoui wanted for her 18 disabled pups at the SFT Animal Sanctuary in Tangier, Morocco. Many of these dogs are survivors of accidents, abandoned after sustaining permanent injuries from being hit by cars.
Salima, however, is a beacon of unwavering dedication. She recognizes that with the right approach, these dogs can still lead fulfilling and happy lives.

On July 4th, Salima decided to showcase the transformative power of rehabilitation by taking a group of her dogs on a special beach trip. Witnessing the scene must have been truly heartwarming. Despite only having their front legs functional, these determined dogs raced Salima back and forth across the beach.
Imagine the sight: a group of 18 dogs, a mix of sizes from a tiny corgi to a majestic German Shepherd, all zooming along the beach in their custom wheelchairs. It’s a testament to the life-saving potential of these specially designed devices.
With their wheels in motion, these dogs were able to move with the same speed and exuberance as their fully-abled counterparts. There were even moments of light-hearted playfulness. A mischievous corgi playfully snatched Salima’s shoe, shaking it in its mouth before returning it. Another video captured a playful dog grabbing its friend’s wheelchair wheel while they were racing at full speed. This playful energy is a heartwarming reminder of the pack’s zest for life, a testament to Salima’s dedication to providing her dogs with the life they deserve.
