Golden Retriever Forms Unwavering Connection with Newborn Baby

It is widely known that growing up with dogs can be beneficial for children in many ways.

Firstly, studies have shown that newborns raised in households with pet dogs have a lower risk of developing allergies and a stronger immune system, especially during their first year of life.

Moreover, growing up with dogs teaches children essential life skills, starting with simple tasks such as being gentle and careful when interacting with them.

However, one of the most remarkable advantages of having a dog as a companion during childhood is the lifelong friendship that develops.

Just like the Golden Retriever in the heartwarming video, who recently met his new human sibling.

The family, already known on social media for their videos featuring their three Malamutes, welcomed a fourth member into their household last year.

Up until last month, the family consisted of three humans – mom, dad, and their little daughter – along with the Malamutes, a cat named Milo, and Buddy the Golden Retriever.

A few weeks ago, Mom Emma gave birth to baby Nathan, bringing immense joy to the family.

Shane and Emma eagerly anticipated the meeting between the newborn boy and his human big sister, Amelia, as well as his furry siblings.

According to Shane’s Instagram post, one of the dogs was shaking with excitement upon meeting the newest addition to their family.

The dogs immediately fell in love with the baby, taking turns watching over him as he slept, but one of them never left his side.

Buddy, the golden retriever, rarely strays far from his human brother.

He stays close, often attempting to snuggle with Nathan, even though the baby is still too young for such interactions. Instead, Nathan uses Buddy as a cozy blanket.

In the recently published video on YouTube, Buddy is frequently seen sitting beside the newborn baby, sometimes even sleeping next to him, with his snout resting on the baby’s legs.

Buddy adores his baby brother and can’t seem to get enough of him.

“When this Golden Retriever meets a newborn baby, he never leaves his side!” Shane explained. Buddy follows Nathan everywhere, or at least as far as he can before being carried. It’s as if our dogs have an innate instinct to become little fluffy protectors.”

Witnessing the bond that has already formed between the dog and the baby is truly heartwarming. They are bound to make an incredible team in the future.
