The love that a puppy feels goes beyond life, our furry friends have a unique sense of protection , especially when it comes to their loved ones, and this story that tells us about the anguish of a little dog to help her owner .
Sadly this adorable pup lost her owner after heavy rains caused landslides in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The little dog was so brave that, in the midst of chaos and danger, she never ᴀʙᴀɴᴅoɴᴇᴅ her human father and helped him until the last moment of her life.
After a landslide crisis in the municipality of Guarujá, São Paulo, many people were affected by the collapse of buildings , and that is what happened to this dog and her owner.
Unfortunately, the human father of this puppy was buried under the rubble and surprisingly his pet accompanied him to the end.
When the rescue team of the Municipal Civil Guard was searching to find the missing, they came across the scene of this dog trying to save her owner … a scene as emotional as it is sad.
The situation was very devastating for everyone. When rescue personnel realized what this little dog was trying to do, they were truly moved.
And it is that this puppy did not stop digging in a specific place on the hill of Barreira do João Guarda and the rescuers tried to help her find what she insistently wanted , finally they found the body of her owner.
Despite this tragic experience, the furry little girl has a life ahead of her, and was protected by the Guarujá Animal Protection and Welfare Directorate , who transferred her to receive veterinary care.
“She arrived very frightened by the loss of her guardian and having to get used to the new environment, which is normal,” said the director of Animal Welfare in Guarujá, Carlos Eduardo Vargas.
Volunteers working to rescue animals in the affected communities in Guarujá decided to name the little dog, “Guerreira” , which means warrior in Spanish.
After receiving all the necessary treatment that includes vaccinations, deworming and sterilization, she will be ready to be adopted and finally be loved and protected as she deserves.
The animal protection team managed to rescue 31 animals amid heavy rains and landslides. Among them there are 18 cats and 15 dogs.
All the rescued animals received veterinary attention and if they are not successful in finding their owners, they will be put up for adoption.
Volunteers urge people to give these animals a family because the shelter does not have adequate space to keep them all.
