When a beautiful senior beagle was brought to the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter staff members were enthralled by his adorable face and gentle nature. The elderly dog was discovered strolling the streets of Mississippi alone by a Good Samaritan.

Vinny, the handsome beagle, was named shortly after he arrived at the shelter. Vinny was examined by the shelter’s veterinarian team following a warm shower and a large breakfast to evaluate his condition. It was discovered that Vinny was in a secluded area for long time. The staff at the shelter were worried about the possibility that Vinny was thrown out on the streets.

Vinny was suffering from a severe skin condition that caused regions of loss of hair according to medical professionals. His nails were extremely long and untidy, making it impossible for him to walk without discomfort. Unfortunately, his problems did not end there. Vinny was suffering from a severe heartworm infection as well as a fatal amount of liquid in his lung. In the end, the kind people who helped save Vinny’s existence recognized the inevitable reality. Vinny was nearing the end of his life.

Despite knowing that Vinny wasn’t a good candidate to adopt because of his health issues the rescue worker Ashley tried her best to adopt Vinny. Ashley shared Vinny’s story with her friend Rachel who was an entire home full of love.
Rachel did not hesitate in accepting Vinny at the shelter. Her family and she wanted to ensure that Vinny’s final days were in peace and security. Rachel’s two sons loved the old dog instantly, lovingly calling Vinny “puppy,” calling him and arguing over whose lap he’d take a seat on during the journey home.

Vinny passed away the following night.

It’s heartening knowing that Vinny was lavishly spoiled with affection before he passed away. Vinny was lavishly lavished with kisses, hugs and delicious delicacies of Rachel as well as her kids. Vinny passed away in a cozy safe and secure place and was surrounded by those whom they love him.

Supporters of the sanctuary for animals through Facebook are expressing their heartfelt gratitude and love towards Rachel as well as her entire family members in an online message thread:
