Jessica Gary took her two dogs, Fidel and Tito, to Prospect Park in Brooklyn, every Saturday morning for a walk. The woman let her dogs run for a while in the garden. But one day, something unexpected happened, when Fidel, a Chihuahua mix in need of daily medication, was mugged while he was walking after her.
Jessica then starts looking for her dog all over the park, to no avail. Since she did not know where to find him, she printed dozens of flyers offering $3,000 to anyone who would bring him to her safe and sound. It also posted on social media that the suspect was a blond, curly-haired man in his 30s. The post went viral on Facebook and many people showed their sympathy for her and hoped to find her soon.
Jessica was not going to give up and drove all over Brooklyn Street hoping to find Fidel. Someone who saw the post messaged her in an area where she could find her dog. So, she went there with her friends and saw her dog!
After seeing Fidel, she knew she had to take action herself, so she managed to take Fidel from two strangers! Then she and her friends went back to the car and locked all the doors to stay safe from strangers.
Jessica and her friends are being chased by a stranger as they try to open the car doors. As he was unable to open them, he started hitting the car window with his skateboard.
Fortunately, they managed to get away from the strangers, and then they went straight to the New York Police Department and told them everything. They told her that she did not steal the dog, but that she had returned her dog. How brave!
