After receiving a video, of some dogs in need, our animal shelter got down to business. Two puppies were initially found roaming around the cemetery. By the time our rescue squad arrived, there was only one left.
The remaining puppy was tangled up in the bushes. She looked terrified after losing her mother.
Once we got into the car, she was visibly upset and on the verge of tears. We made sure to get her tested for enteritis during the waiting period. Fortunately, her test result was negative.
The cemetery seems to be a place where the lost can visit. It is safe with no people around but unfortunately this also puts them at risk of getting sick.
Our priority was locating her family while taking care of her temporarily. It took us two days to find the mother bitch. When we noticed she was crying, we immediately took her to see a vet. She was understandably exhausted from everything she had been through and spent some time resting and sleeping.
Fortunately, she and her mother did not suffer from any health problems. Her general health was not endangered except for one unfortunate detail. Like her sister, she had diarrhea, which caused her discomfort and pain. The treatment required an infusion, which was challenging for her.
Despite these challenges along the way, there is still hope for a future that awaits them. But Chloe’s journey did not end there as another hurdle emerged. A red, itchy rash covered her body. The doctor diagnosed her with ringworm which led to her being extended at our shelter for treatment.
In the end, they discovered joy after enduring hardships. It was a touching end for mom and her adorable puppies, who have been members of their loving family.
