Brussels got their dog, Duke, from an orphanage in Portland, Connecticut. Duke is not content with life in the orphanage, but eventually becomes the perfect companion for his family.

Six years later, Duke showed his thanks to Brosseau in the most gentle way imaginable!

The family welcomed their little daughter, Harper, and Duke immediately became completely protective of his sister.

One night, while the family was sleeping soundly, Duke suddenly went to his parents ‘ room and jumped into their bed.

He was trembling uncontrollably, refusing to carry out any orders given to him. Finally, his mother noticed that something was wrong.

Duke took his parents to the room of a nine-week-old newborn and alerted them to a young man who was not breathing at all.

The family rushed the baby to the emergency room, the doctor saved Harper’s life at the last moment!

When Duke made sure that his sister was breathing well and was doing a great job, he finally calmed down!

The family shuddered at the thought of what might happen if Duke did not remember them in time. They are eternally grateful to the child who saved them, and he is completely unaware that he is a hero!
